A composite movie showing time-lapses of the experimental data used to characterize the evolution of turbulent dynamo at the Omega Laser Facility. The top panel shows X-ray images of the turbulent interaction region, the bottom left panel shows proton radiographs that image the stochastic magnetic field structures generated by turbulent dynamo, and the bottom right panel shows the reconstructed magnetic field strength from the proton radiographs, which enabled the researchers to measure experimentally the growth rate of the magnetic field for the first time.
