Car Idling (IMAGE) University of Utah Caption University of Utah researchers are designing and testing a real-time air pollution monitoring system similar to dynamic speed limit displays in neighborhoods. They want to see if drivers who are parked but idling their cars at places such as school drop-off zones, hospitals and airports can be motivated to turn off their engines if they are alerted that air pollution is getting worse.
