Illustration of the Structure of Epsilon-Iron(III) Oxide (IMAGE)
Caption
An illustration shows the structure of epsilon-iron(III) oxide, an atomically thin material that is stable, stackable and unlike other iron oxides retains its unique magnetic properties at room temperature. Rice University engineers made the material with a simple method that allows it to be easily transferred and combined with other 2D materials.
