Parental control of behavior (IMAGE) University of Utah Health Caption Scientists analyzed the activity of genes inherited from mothers and fathers in different cells of the body in mice. They discover that parents control offspring behaviors and decisions by affecting the activity of specific genes that make dopamine, adrenaline and other hormones. Mothers control the activity of these genes in brain cells, while fathers control them in cells of the adrenal gland.
