Researchers at Washington University School Of Medicine In St. Louis have found that when you scratch an itch, you get a bit of relief because the scratching creates pain signals that travel to the brain. The problem is that those pain signals cause the brain to secrete a neurotransmitter that makes itching even worse. Jim Dryden reports.
