Wall-bounded turbulent flows are ubiquitous in nature and are of huge technological importance. The main objective of the pipe flow work on XSEDE Stampede2 and Frontera is to perform direct numerical simulations of turbulent pipe flow at relatively high Reynolds numbers (i.e., Reτ up to 5000 and higher).
