Chandelier cells have traditionally been very difficult to image. CSHL Professor Linda Van Aelst and her colleagues developed a new method to visualize these cells in the brain. As seen here, the end of one axonal projection from a chandelier cell, in green, directly contacts a nearby excitatory neuron, shown in red.
