Pictured here is the 1-liter bubble chamber during testing at MINOS Hall, 350 feet underneath Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Physicists installed a similar but larger bubble chamber for detecting dark matter this summer in a laboratory more than a mile underground in Sudbury, Canada.
