Resorbable Brain Implants (AUDIO) WashU Medicine Your browser does not support the audio element. Caption Neurosurgeons and engineers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, have developed wireless brain sensors that can monitor pressure inside the heads of patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. So far, they've only tested the devices in lab animals, but the idea is that the sensors could wirelessly monitor things inside of the skull and then dissolve after a few days, making surgery to remove them unnecessary.
