The NIH recently awarded a grant to Magdalena Karbowniczek, M.D., Ph.D., from the TTUHSC Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy to study the role of extracellular vesicles in the progression of a rare cancer known as pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis, or LAM.
