YAP/TAZ Regulates Vascular Sprouting and Growth

New blood vessels branch out of the main one like thin extensions (right). The process is controlled by YAP/TAZ which regulate the production of other proteins used for the growth and integrity of the new vessels. Normal tissue (right) is compared with tissue lacking YAP/TAZ (left), where the pruned-looking branching are not able to develop.
