Scientists Break Record for Highest-Temperature Superconductor with Lanthanum Superhydride -- X-rays

Scientists bombarded a sample of a new superconducting material with X-rays to study its structure at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. The X-ray fluorescence creates the greenish color at the sample (center).
