The research group coordinated by Barbara Mazzolai at the IIT – Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia has created the first ever prototype of a soft, biodegradable and soluble velcro inspired by the micro-hook structure of leaves on the “catchweed” plant (Galium aparine).
