University of Vermont professor of biology Melissa Pespeni studies a tiny sea creature called a copepod—to open deep views of the possible future of a climate-changed ocean. She and a team of scientists published results in the journal Nature Communications that “show that there is hope,” Pespeni says, “but also complexity in how life responds to climate change.”
