Rekomitjie Research Station, Zimbabwe (IMAGE) Stellenbosch University Caption Work on tsetse and trypanosomiasis carried out at the Rekomitjie Research Station in Zimbabwe over the past 59 years has produced long-term data sets for both vector abundance and climate change. The research station is located inside a protected area and has been free of agricultural activities since 1958. In 1984, the area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
