This map shows the difference in the relative importance of sites for protecting places that will be important for species today and in the future, and for protecting where species currently live. Green areas depict places that are more important for addressing climate change, and pink areas are important for protecting species' current habitats, but are less important for addressing their future needs as the climate changes.
