Students prepare to deploy a high-resolution seismic imaging device to map the ancient Trinity River Valley system offshore from Galveston, Texas, as part of the UT Jackson School of Geosciences' Marine Geology and Geophysics field class. The data collected by the students is being used to inform UT's ongoing efforts to help the Texas General Land Office create an inventory of Texas offshore sand resources.
