ビタミンB2 による細胞老化抑制メカニズム

老化ストレスを受けた細胞は SLC52A1 を産生し、細胞外からのビタミンB2の取込みを増加させる。細胞内に取込まれたビタミンB2は FAD に変換され、ミトコンドリア呼吸鎖複合体IIの補酵素となることでミトコンドリアのエネルギー産生を上昇させる。これにより細胞老化を誘導する働きを持つ AMPK や p53 が不活化されることで、老化ストレスによる細胞老化誘導が抑制される。
