マイクロX線CTスキャンによって、虚血状態下のマウスがヒトの場合のようにそれほど酷くの障害を生じない理由が明らかになった。マウスの下殿動脈は、大腿動脈にできた血栓の周辺で迂回路となるバイパス血管を生じさせている。
