High school science teacher Casey Bethel (left) works as a researcher in Raquel Lieberman's protein crystalization lab. He has been a coauthor on two papers published by her team. Bethel is also Georgia Teacher of the Year 2017, and brings high school students to Georgia Tech to help him and Lieberman with research.
