The ALMA telescope is a radio telescope that observes light in the microwave range. The ALMA telescope consists of 66 radio antennas located in Chile more than 5,000 meters above sea level. ALMA is operated as a global scientific collaboration, which Denmark participates in through its membership of the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
