Porcupine Quill (IMAGE) Field Museum Caption A porcupine quill removed from the skull of a man-eating lion, broken into two pieces. The quill stuck in the lion's nose made it impossible for the lion to hunt normal prey, and it resorted to eating humans. The shorter section was sticking out of the lion's nose, and the longer section was inside of its skull. Credit © Field Museum Usage Restrictions Please include credit: © Field Museum.
