On Dec. 11 at 9:41 p.m. EST (Dec. 12 at 0241 UTC) GPM found very heavy rainfall present in storms in the southern side of the eye. Rain was measured by GPM's DPR falling at a rate of over 235 mm (9.25 inches) per hour.
