Robert Soare, will deliver the opening plenary address at the on April 16 at the 2012 British Mathematical colloquium at the University of Kent in Canterbury. His chapter on "Turing and Michelangelo: The Art of Classical Computability," will appear in Alan Turing — His Work and Impact, edited by Barry Cooper and Jan van Leeuwen.
