The graphic represents two laser traps holding two beads (gray spheres), which are stretching out the DNA (gray spirals on both sides) holding the telomerase protein/RNA machine (center, colored purple protein) and teal RNA. The telomerase extends the DNA on the right (which represents the end of a chromosome) and the newly created DNA (yellow) forms a loop extruding from the machine.
