The first person with below-elbow amputation implanted with an osseo-neuromuscular prosthesis. Electrodes implanted in nerves and muscles are accessed via two titanium implants that serve for skeletal attachment and communication interface with the prosthesis. The prosthesis is virtual during the recovery period after surgery to evaluate the interface.
