Zirui Gao, Forscher am PSI, hat für experimentelle Untersuchungen einen neuen Algorithmus entwickelt, der die Dauer bestimmter Messungen, die sonst zu langwierig wären, deutlich verkürzt. Damit untersuchten die Forschenden auf der Nano-Skala die Alterungsprozesse in einem viel genutzten Katalysatormaterial.
