3-D Scanning a Dinosaur Bone (IMAGE) Drexel University Caption A laser scanner creates a 3-D digital scan of the fossil humerus from Paralititan, one of the largest sauropod dinosaurs ever found. Using a 3-D printer, the shape of the scanned fossil can be built at a smaller scale for modeling and testing the mechanics of movement.
