It takes incredibly high temperatures, hotter than the center of the sun, for us to successfully achieve fusion. One can say that the Chalmers research students Ola Embréus and Linnea Hesslow are trying to harvest stars here on earth. Now they have taken us one step closer to a functional fusion reactor.
