Moriche Palm, <i>Mauritia flexuosa</i>

Moriche Palm is one of the most important plants in Colombia's Llanos and Amazon regions. Grouping together in what is usually called a Morichal, these plants are an important element for water regulation. Its fruits are consumed by different animals and the leaves are used by locals to build roofs and crafts.
