UMass Lowell physics doctoral student Tyler Iorizzo and Associate Prof. Anna Yaroslavsky operate the optical polarization imager (OPI) at UMass Lowell's Advanced Biophotonics Laboratory. Iorizzo won an international award for his research into using OPI technology to diagnose and treat cancer.
