恒星形成过程中富含尘埃颗粒的喷流，非常类似于图中蛋星云的景象；而这样的恒星是大颗的碳化硅颗粒，就如同那些在莫奇森陨石（Murchison）中发现的碳化硅颗粒的合理来源。小插图：图中这颗碳化硅颗粒最长的部分长度大约为8微米。
