Adaptive Microelectronics Reshape Independently and Detect Environment (IMAGE)
Caption
The polymer film developed by the research team from Chemnitz and Dresden is just 0.5 mm wide and 0.35 mm long. It acts as a carrier for the microelectronic components and is equipped with artificial muscles as well as sensors. This enables it to perceive its surroundings, recognize objects, and adapt to different shapes.
