Enhancement of Discrimination Performance in High-Tonic GABA Model (IMAGE)
Caption
The researchers investigated whether mice can distinguish between two objects with different sandpaper textures. When the two objects have only a small difference of grit* (Grit400 - Grit320 = ?80), the high-tonic GABA model can discriminate them, whereas the control group cannot. Both groups can distinguish between two objects when the difference of texture is big (?320). *Grit indicates the number of particles in a square inch area of sandpaper. The higher the grit number, the finer the particles.
