Dromedaries appear to be the major reservoir of the MERS virus. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Dec. 17, 2015, issue of <i>Science</i> online, published by AAAS. The paper, by Bart Haagmans at Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and colleagues was titled, 'An orthopoxvirus-based vaccine reduces virus excretion after MERS-CoV infection in dromedary camels.'
