Starry, Starry Night (IMAGE) Yale University Caption This illustration from a hypothetical planet in a distant ultradense galaxy reveals a sky packed with thousands of stars. There are 200 times more stars in this sky than in our Earth's nighttime sky. The ultradense galaxies existed about 11 billion years ago. They are a fraction of the size of today's galaxies but contain the same number of stars. Credit NASA, ESA, and G.
