Ancient Hyena Tooth (IMAGE) University at Buffalo Caption This ice age fossil tooth -- tucked away for years in the collections of the Canadian Museum of Nature -- belonged to the 'running hyena' Chasmaporthetes, according to a new University at Buffalo-led study.
