Thomas Marzetta Wins IEEE Honor (IMAGE) NYU Tandon School of Engineering Caption Thomas L. Marzetta, the originator of Massive MIMO antenna technology, won the IEEE Communications Society 2019 Fred W. Ellersick Prize for the outstanding paper published in an IEEE ComSoc magazine over a three-year period. Marzetta is an associate director of the NYU WIRELESS multidisciplinary research center and distinguished industry professor in NYU Tandon School of Engineering's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
