This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 13 October 2017, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by J. Liu at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, and colleagues was titled, "Contrasting carbon cycle responses of the tropical continents to the 2015-2016 El Niño."
