John Thomas, lead mechanical designer for the Long Duration Sorbent Testbed investigation on the International Space Station, prepares the hardware assembly at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The technology study will help scientists build a more efficient life support system for flights in to deep space by testing new materials to help pull water and carbon dioxide out of the air.
