The Risk of a Memory Disorder among Patients with Medium or Severe Brain Injuries (IMAGE)
Caption
The risk of a memory disorder was significantly higher among patients with medium or severe brain injuries than among patients with mild brain injuries (control group). The risk of developing a memory disorder was 2.5 times higher among the 41-50 age group, and 2.0 times higher among the 18-40 and 51-60 groups. The relative risk was slightly lower (1.5 times higher) among the 61-65 group, as the age-related risk for a memory disorder is already higher.
