Norway's Own Galapagos Islands (IMAGE)
Caption
The islands off Norway's Helgeland coast turn out to be a perfect place to study evolution. The islands in red and blue represent different habitats. The blue ones are where sparrows live on farms and the red ones are where sparrows live in people's gardens. This natural laboratory has allowed researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) to study evolution in house sparrows for more than two decades.
