Monkey Simulation (AUDIO) Princeton University Your browser does not support the audio element. Caption The researchers plugged a macaque's grunt call in a computer model they created that could simulate a macaque's vocal range based on the physical attributes recorded by X-ray. The computer-generated audio clip above simulates what a macaque would sound like if it could speak -- the phrase being spoken is, "Will you marry me?" The researchers noted that a macaque would be "clearly intelligible" but not sound precisely like a human.
