GPM image of Dahlia (IMAGE) NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Caption On Nov. 29, GPM found that rain falling at rates greater than 76 mm (~3 inches) per hour in powerful storms around Dahlia's center of circulation. Northwest of the Dahlia's center rain was dropping at a rate of 60 mm (2.4 inches) per hour. Storm tops west of the Dahlia's center were stetching to heights of almost 12 km (7.4 miles).
