This false-colored infrared image of Dorian was generated from data taken from the AIRS instrument aboard NASA's Aqua satellite on Sept. 6 at 3:17 a.m. EDT (0717 UTC). The purple areas indicate strongest storms which were mostly over the Atlantic Ocean and east of the center.
