While wearing a glove with a vibrating fingertip designed to improve his sense of touch, Georgia Tech mechanical engineering assistant professor Jun Ueda performs a texture discrimination test. Preliminary test results show that healthy individuals performed statistically better on this type of task when mechanical vibration was applied by the glove.
