Location of Bears Ears National Monument in southeastern Utah. Predicted ethnographic species richness at 265 known archaeological sites across the original and reduced monument boundaries and surrounding region. Many sites with high ESR are now located outside the boundaries of the monument and, therefore, are not protected and managed.
