Collared Brown Lemur (IMAGE) Field Museum Caption A collared brown lemur (Eulemur collaris), which is one of only two genera of lemurs that primarily eats fruit. To combat the lack of protein in Madagascar's fruit, these lemurs are active throughout the day and night to maximize the amount of time that they can eat to get enough nutrients.
