Scientists on the Global Reef Expedition collect crown-of-thorns starfish to limit the damage caused by an outbreak of starfish in Aitutaki. Based on their experience in the Cook Islands, KSLOF scientists developed a best practices guide for safely removing these venomous starfish from the reef.
