In-Vivo 2-Photon Microscopy Image of Endothelial Cells Lining Surface Arteries in the Brain (IMAGE)
Caption
Red cells are astrocytes labeled with sulphorhodamine. Our new result suggest that the continuous pathway of endothelial cells within the brain's arteries is essential for propagating signals that orchestrate local dilation and increases in blood flow in response to local neuronal activity.
